At The Grand, we offer several ground-floor bedrooms, some with accessible features. Our Lounge, Bar, and Restaurants are fully accessible as well. For guests attending private events, the Princes and the Dukes Rooms are fully accessible, and we can provide ramps or alternative routes for our other function spaces. 

We have placed the following facilities in and around the hotel:

For guests with limited mobility:

  • Access to the hotel via portable ramps or lift access
  • Accessible toilets
  • Accessible rooms – rooms with ground floor access, wet rooms, assistance alert cords, and specially allocated rooms for guests with dogs.
  • Wheelchairs for guest use in an emergency.

For guests hard of hearing:

  • Defguard – vibrating fire alarm and alarm clock
  • Induction loop on all reception desks
  • Portable induction loop

For Guests with Assistance Dogs:

Guests with assistance dogs are very welcome.  Your trusted companion is at liberty to join you throughout the hotel, whether you are having afternoon tea in the lounge, dining in the restaurant or relaxing in your room.  Regrettably, we are unable to permit animals around the swimming pool due to health and safety protocols, but if there is anything further we can do to support you in enjoying this area of the hotel, please let us know.
