Celebrate World Martini Day at The Grand
On Sunday 19th June, we'll be celebrating World Martini Day at The Grand with two of our signature cocktails available from our Cocktail Bar.
If you're a traditionalist you'll love our house special, The Elit Martini - Stolichnaya Elit Vodka and Noilly Prat vermouth shaken with ice and double strained into a frozen martini glass, simply garnished with three green olives.
For something a little bit different, our bar manager, Anton Mellor's signature AMB Martini will hit the spot. It's sweet, sour and summery and well worth trying on World Martini Day - or any other day!
Once you've come and tried our cocktails here, why not try your hand at making one of them at home? Anton has shared his secret recipe so you can give it a go.
The AMB Martini
- 50ml Belvedere vodka
- 10ml Madagascan vanilla extract
- 10ml strawberry syrup
- Juice of half of a fresh lime
Combine all of the ingredients in a Manhatten shaker and shake with ice. Double strain into a frozen martini glass, then top with the dense sweet and sour foam and sprinkle with demerara sugar to finish!
